Fox Trapping and Removal in Baltimore County and Surrounding Areas
Prevention by Exclusion * Reasonable Rates * Licensed & Insured
Without question, the fox is the most difficult species to trap. In more urbanized areas fox will steal dog food left in bowls on porches. Fox are usually shy and cautious and will avoid people. However, a rabid fox may appear totally indifferent to humans or even friendly.
There are several techniques from prevention (fencing), to scare tactics (motion activated sprinkler systems, large scary looking dogs) to get rid of a fox, but the best method is trapping and removal.
Young fox and urban fox can usually be trapped in box traps without too much difficulty. Adult fox living in heavily wooded areas, feeding on wild game, may simply refuse to enter a box trap. In these situations leg hold traps may be the only solution.
