Birds Nest Removal, Birds Exclusion in Baltimore County and Surrounding Areas
Prevention by Exclusion * Reasonable Rates * Licensed & Insured
Birds typically nest in the trees, but they certainly don't mind a home that offers more protection for their offspring. Birds like in vents, especially dryer vents because they are nice and warm.
The two most common nuisance bird species are starlings and english sparrows. Both species would rather nest in man made structures then trees. Very often they will nest in the duct work leading from the hood over your stove to the vent outside. If the nest is located close to the out side vent it can be easily removed.
If the nest is further down the duct it may be necessary to install wire large enough to allow the adults to feed the young, so they can eventually leave on their own. This will prevent young from dying far back in the duct work where they cannot be removed.
If you have an bad odor in your bathroom, kitchen, or laundry room, you may have a dead bird in your vent. You want this taken care of as quickly as possible because you could face secondary infestation problem - maggots or flies coming into your home. Give us a call - we can help.
